Koi Pond Shōji
Enhance and soften the sometimes stark look of this part of the main living area, providing flexible shoji to adjust the amount and degree of light and views visible to match the mood and occasion.
Provide glimpses of the sky and pond, while still allowing full opening of the centre windows and use of the long bench.
Construct four independent shoji window frames sliding horizontally within top and bottom built-in traditional tracks, fully exposing the external sliding centre window panels when drawn back.
Each shoji window frame will have mounted within it two double-hung, half-depth shoji panels that can be slid up or down seamlessly and remain there.
The lower and upper panels will have different heights to break up the geometric design and enhance the overall ascetic.
